Wiener Dog 100 Races

On Saturday May 23, 2020, the 7th annual Pink's Wiener Dog 100 returns to Lake Compounce, watch as 100 hot dog dogs race to victory between Down Time and La Fiesta!

Check in will be 11-12 right to the left of the fountain after you walk through the tunnel, and before the gates.

Since it is opening day for the park and the park opens at 11am, please plan to arrive early as there was a long line on the warm opening day last year waiting to park.

The first race heat will be at 1pm and we ask everyone be checked in by noon in order to give us time to organize the heats based on who attends (vs who signs up and does not), and get the race boards over to the race area.

Only dogs who are signed up and confirmed closer to the race date will be admitted.

FAQs:
1. Can my dog just come and watch?
No. Only dachshunds/Dachshund mixes who are signed up and confirmed to participate will be admitted.

2. Is there an entry fee?
2 people per participating dog are admitted and park for free. Any additional members of your dog’s cheerleading party must pay regular park admission.

3. Can we stay in the park with the dogs after the races are over?
Yes, but just remember to be mindful of the pavement on their paws, provide adequate shade and water, and pick up after them.

4. Can I volunteer?
If you are interested in volunteering please email CTDachshundRescue@gmail.com

5. Will you have Dachshunds available for adoption?
If we have any foster dogs who would be good in that environment come May yes. No dog would go home same day though and anyone interested in adopting must submit an application online at www.ctdrps.com

For safety reasons, no flexi/retractable leashes will be allowed.
